MatWeb Folders Help
MatWeb uses the term
"Folder" to signify the collection of specific data sheets that are used for comparison or export.
These functions are limited to Registered (free) or Premium (paid) users.
On the Search Results Page
On the top of any results set, above the links to materials, is a small section titled, "My Folders". Every
Registered or
Premium user has a default folder ready when their account is first used.
You are presently logged in as a
Premium user. These actions apply to your user level:
- Select the folder you wish to modify from the "Folder" drop-down list.
- Check the box(es) next to the material name(s) to Add items to your selected basket.
- Select the task you wish to perform from the drop-down list

Folder Management Page
This page is accessed from the "Manage All" option described above OR by clicking on the "Folders" link in the top navigation bar.
As a Premium user you can:
- Delete items from your folder
- Select a Viewing Mode drop down and hit the "Go" button.
-You will see the material(s) in your basket. Click the "Trash Can icon next to any that you want to delete.
- Compare items in your folder
- Select 'Compare' from the Viewing Mode drop down and hit the "Go" button.
- Click the "Compare Materials" button above the list of folder contents
- You will be redirected to the Comparison page
- Export items in your folder to an FEA program
- Select 'SolidWorks, ALGOR, etc.' from the Viewing Mode drop down and hit the "Go" button.
- Click the "Export Folder" button above the list of folder contents
